With League One Finals getting closer, we are wondering: who is going to win on the 20 May?
On 4 May, Bradford defeated Fleetwood 1-0 in a game they dominated throughout, with the ball in their possession 65% of the time. Rory McArdle’s skilful header on 77 minutes gave them a winning goal. Bradford City boss Stuart McCall seems determined to keep up the tempo. These are his words after the game: “We won’t just go there to sit and try to defend. The best form of defence is to attack and that’s what we’ll look to do on Sunday.” Uwe Rosler’s Fleetwood side will need to improve in Sunday’s return leg if they are to reach Wembley.
On the other hand, Millwall v Scunthorpe United played 0-0. Lee Gregory had the best chance for the hosting Lions midway through the first half, only to be denied by Joe Anyon. The game was a tie, although Millwall created more chances. However, both managers were satisfied with the score and optimistic about their chances to defeat their opponent in the second leg.
Based on this we can expect an exciting and hard to predict round in a few days.
