At the end of April, for the fourth successive season, Charlton ladies lifted the trophy after a tough game against Tottenham Hotspur, when they won the Capital Cup final.
Commenting that game, captain Kim Dixon said: “A month ago we may have rolled over and conceded another two or three goals. That didn’t happen, we’re buzzing to have won it and now our focus turns to our next final on the 7th of May.”
The Charlton Athletic women’s team will be looking to claim their second piece of silverware of the season on Sunday when they face Spurs Ladies in the FA Women’s Premier League Cup final.
The clash against the North Londoners will be the third meeting between the two sides in as many games, and First-Team Coach Ritesh Mishra is looking forward to the occasion.
“Every game we have played against them has had a different feel, but the same competitive edge and this is arguably the biggest match between the two sides.”
The match will take place at 2 pm on Sunday at Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium.
The game will be the fifth encounter between the two sides this season, with the scores currently level at two wins apiece, the Addicks having won the previous game.
With this much rivalry in the air, the match promises to be a thrilling experience for everyone involved!
